Vinyasa Yoga - a sequence of movements that flow easily from one to another. Paired with the breath they can readily be repeated at a faster or slower pace, with emphasis on transitions.

Vinyasa Fire

In this class, our main purpose is connecting movement with breath. The poses will be fluid and rhythmic, only holding postures for up to 3 breaths as the teacher guides you to move effortlessly from one pose to another. Our aim is to create flowing movement in the body and breath, putting emphasis on the transitions between postures. This helps cultivate focus in the mind for a moving meditation, and helps to ease you from your daily mind-state into your final relaxation.

In keeping with the Vinyasa style, this Hot Vinyasa class will have you moving continuously. Depending on the teacher and class energy, it may be faster or slower paced. We aim to keep the class moving together as a way of building group energy.

A higher energy vinyasa usually includes dynamic movement between poses, invigorating breathing, and less focus on posture holds, alignment, or technique. A slower style will move fluidly between poses, emphasise group rhythmic breathing, and will give you the opportunity to find and establish your own pace within the class as we keep the class moving along.

Vinyasa yoga is ideal for those who are comfortable with more energetic styles of exercise and cardiovascular practices such as running and cycling. It allows for you to build up energy and endurance to maintain throughout the practice, helping to calm an active mind, and to bring blood flow to the muscles with less depth in the stretching aspects of postures. These classes often include repetition of a series of postures such as Sun Salutations and similar complete practice routines.

Hatha Yoga - A more static form of yoga that aims to bring balance between energetic polarities (i.e Sun/Moon, Fire/Water, Yang/Yin) into a more complete union or state of wholeness within the physical body.

Hatha Fire

Hatha is a classical form of yoga, with a slower pace and stronger holds. Hatha Yoga offers the opportunity to focus inwards, to feel sensations that arise, and learn to embody the energetic balance brought about by each individual posture. Poses are usually held between 5-7 breaths.

A perfect class for beginners and for those who are keen to build upon their knowledge of alignment. In Hatha Fire, the teacher will guide you step-by-step into postures helping to develop an awareness of the effects and benefits that each pose offers. Pose modifications and variations are provided, allowing you to learn what may look and feel best for your practice each day.

Hot Hatha classes are an excellent way to learn yoga postures, to get acclimated to practising in the heat, and to learn how to connect body and mind experiences through conscious breathing. Each class includes a short flowing warm-up with breath awareness, and a sequence of postures that will open the entire body, and/or focus on the development of strength and technique needed to learn and master yoga postures.
